Donner Party Dinner Party is yet another emerging band from the exploding Athens, Ohio music scene. The band consists of Ty Owen and Brian Jackson. This is a recording from a party house in Athens, Ohio called the Frog Bog.

DPDP has been descried as:

"assaulting Athens audiences in recent months with their blend of synths, drum machines, movie samples and screaming. This is a pristine release that captures their live sound, recorded at The Frog Bog, an Athens party house. Think Aphex Twin + Bong Ra + Cock ESP + Gang Gang Dance."

Another album from our prolific Ohioan noise-monger Nyodene D titled "Snow Falling, Sparrows Overhead" that is the first of many new releases from Athens, Ohio. Snow Falling is to be eventually released on C-20. My personal favorite track from Nyodene D's entire discography is from this release and is titled "Footprints in the Snow". Dont miss it.

Another one from our friend Nyodene D in Athens, Ohio. This marks Mr. Vilk's sixth album under the Nyodene D name. TABN deals with a much darker and more focused theme. As the man puts it himself,

"This is an album of harsh noise and power electronics that draws on ritual dark ambient and black metal for influences. The music was made using synthesizers, effects pedals, contact microphones and whatever pieces of scrap metal I could obtain. It's an album about the grim reality of living in an area so economically destitute and the rich tradition of occultism and brutality that has come to be associated with life in Appalachia and the Midwestern Rust Belt. Themes deal with insanity, religion, the supernatural and serial murder."
